How it started

Our Story

The True Top 1% Foundation (TT1P) was founded in 2020, born from a shared vision during one of the most challenging times in recent history. As the world faced isolation and uncertainty, a small group came together with a single purpose: to use creativity as a bridge for healing and connection among veterans.

From its beginning, TT1P has been dedicated to the 1% of Americans who courageously choose to serve. Inspired by their strength and resilience, the foundation set out to create spaces where veterans could process their experiences, share their stories, and rediscover purpose through art.

What began with symbolic projects—like paintings created using everyday objects—grew into a movement that embraces creative expression as a tool for empowerment, reflection, and recovery.

TT1P draws inspiration from the experiences of a retired Army veteran whose dedication to his brothers and sisters in arms continues to guide our mission.

We believe in the power of art as a means of transformation. Our programs focus on helping veterans reconnect with themselves and others, encouraging them to express what words cannot, and to find strength through creation.

At the heart of TT1P is empowerment—helping veterans reclaim their stories, confront challenges, and move forward with renewed resilience and purpose.
