Program Outline
Program Overview: The True Top 1% Foundation's Volunteer Program aims to engage community members in supporting our mission of empowering military veterans through art therapy, mental health services, and community outreach. Volunteers will play a crucial role in enhancing the reach and impact of our programs, fostering a supportive environment for veterans, and promoting mental health awareness. With our 30/70 Goal; 30% of every dollar goes to administration and while a minimum of 70% of every dollar goes to our Veterans, in order to achieve such goals People (Volunteers) are VERY IMPORTANT to the outline of our structure.
Program Objectives:
- Enhance Program Delivery: Utilize volunteers to assist in the execution of our core programs, including art therapy sessions, mental health toolkits distribution, and special events.
- Increase Community Engagement: Foster community involvement and support for veterans' well-being by creating volunteer opportunities that align with our mission.
- Develop Skills and Leadership: Provide volunteers with meaningful experiences that promote personal growth, skill development, and leadership opportunities.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Program Support Volunteers:
- Art Therapy Assistants: Help set up and facilitate art therapy sessions, providing support to both instructors and participants.
- Workshop Facilitators: Assist in organizing and running various workshops, ensuring materials are prepared and participants are engaged.
- Outreach Coordinators: Support outreach efforts by engaging with the community, distributing information, and promoting our programs.
- Event Volunteers:
- Event Planners: Assist in planning and coordinating events such as fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and special gatherings.
- Logistics Support: Help with event setup, registration, and overall event management.
- Public Relations Volunteers: Promote events through social media, local media outlets, and community networks.
- Administrative Volunteers:
- Office Assistants: Provide general administrative support, including data entry, answering phones, and managing correspondence.
- Grant Writers: Assist in researching and writing grant proposals to secure funding for our programs.
- Communications Volunteers: Help create content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
- Specialized Volunteers:
- Licensed Therapists: Offer pro bono therapy sessions or workshops for veterans in need.
- Artists: Lead art classes, create instructional materials, and contribute to our art therapy initiatives.
- Fundraising Specialists: Develop and implement fundraising strategies and initiatives to support our programs.
- Brand / Veteran Outreach Volunteers:
- Outreach Officers: Be a part of the team that goes into areas and events to communicate the benefits of our programs with Veterans.
- Brand Awareness Officers: Lead or be a part of the fundraising team that goes out into the community and community events whose sole responsibility it is to raise funds and art supplies
- Combination of both: Many times unless at spefici Stand Downs and conferences, you may be requested to do both..
Volunteer Training and Development:
- Orientation: Provide an initial orientation session to introduce volunteers to the foundation's mission, values, and programs.
- Role-Specific Training: Offer specialized training for each volunteer role to ensure they are well-prepared and confident in their responsibilities.
- Ongoing Support: Maintain regular check-ins with volunteers to provide feedback, address concerns, and offer additional training as needed.
- Professional Development: Provide opportunities for volunteers to develop new skills and take on leadership roles within the organization.
